Bricoleur
Who is a Bricoleur? The Art of Resourceful Creation
A bricoleur is the quintessential "jack-of-all-trades" or tinkerer, someone adept at solving problems and creating innovative solutions using the limited or diverse materials they find around them.
Improviser: Unlike an engineer who works with a pre-defined plan and specific, purpose-built tools, a bricoleur is a master of improvisation, adapting and combining existing materials in novel ways as needed.
Resourceful: This approach, known as bricolage, involves seeing potential in existing "bits and scraps" and giving them new meaning or purpose, whether in art, science, business, or everyday life.
Creative: A bricoleur's strength lies in their dynamic, flexible thinking and ability to produce unique, often complex, outcomes from a seemingly random assortment of elements.
Essentially, a bricoleur is a creative problem-solver who sees opportunity in constraints and builds something functional and meaningful out of the available world.
